Send Me Your Pigeons
Exclusive soft open for Pitchfork preview. Please come and celebrate the opening of Galerie F! All three artists will be in attendance, view it as a pre-kick off party to all of our Pitchfork festivities.

Can’t make it? Don’t worry - our official grand opening is Friday July 20th. Two opportunites to witness an incredible collection of artists.

Send Me Your Pigeons is a showcase of printmakers under the theme of “communication and community.” The show title is a riff on the complications of communication with modern technology with the implication that pigeons are more reliable than Internet or phone communications. Printmaking is a form of expression that thrives on reception and interaction with outside viewers; it is a form of art surviving through communication. We want to unite the artists with their audience, the language with the work, and the local community with the national community.

This show is a literal representation of the possibility of art and community transcending distance. We bring you three major artists from across the nation – John Vogl of The Bungaloo from the west, Landland from the Midwest, and Casey Burnsfrom the east. These artists all maintain an intimate tactile process in their printmaking, from translating watercolor paintings to working closely with hand-drawn sketches. The show’s theme draws together their unique printmaking styles under the context of community and accessibility.
